Editing Blog

Image
My editing will occur after all the scenes are shot. I would have to make sure all the scenes are at the proper duration and the timing was right. I will have to import and export videos from my phone to and from the computer. The editing will most likely be done on these two different devices. The editing would involved fixing the lighting, cropping, and adjusting the time. If lighting is too dark, I would use a lighter contrast and highlights to make it look better. The cropping part is to make sure that the background is a fit and no one is in the background. The time would be the biggest issue of editing because everything has to fit within 30 seconds. I have to make sure I get the perfect scene so everything fits right. I would rather crop out extra time so I can have 5 seconds for each scene. An issue I would probably run into would be handheld movement of the phone. This could cause the filming to be shaky but hopefully it would not be too noticeable. I would hope...

Filming Blog

Image
For my commercial, I will be filming at two different locations. I will start filming on the 1st since its on the weekend. As the director, I will be in charge of the outfits and props. The first location would be the park. The actors and I would already be dressed in our outfits which would be red shirts and jeans. If any time of bad weather occurrence happens, I would simply just move to the house for filming. It will be filmed on my iPhone 8 Plus. The phone is most likely going to look better than a camera. I will be able to direct where the actors are going and the angles I use. The props which are mainly the Coca-Cola will always be able to be scene when it is needed. Filming in the park would most likely take multiple shots to get it just right. This would be the same in the house because you never know what could get in your shots. I think different and multiple shots are needed so I can see what fits right and what is better. I think it would take about 2-3 hours for filming be...

Storyboard Blog

First Scene-  During this scene I will be filming at a park for this part of the commercial. I will be filming the Coca-Cola drinks in a bucket at a low angle. It will be a close up of the bucket so you can still see the ice in the bucket and the background. I wanted it to be like the original commercials and at times they film in the park. Second Scene- The next scene will feature two girls laughing and playing together. The location for this scene will be in the park again. The girls will be wearing red shirts and jeans (pants or shorts) so basically casual clothing. The red will represent the color of the Coca-Cola logo. This shot will be a handheld and a close up shot. Third Scene- The third scene will also be the same girls sitting on a blanket in the park. This time they will be holding and cheering with the Coca-Cola drinks. This will be a tracking shot. Fourth Scene- This scene will be taking place at a different location which is at home. This will include a crane an...

Other props are other household items depending on what activity is being done.        2.   COSTUMES: what is going to be worn In my commercial, I will have different people as the subject. The actors would wear red and white shirts to represent the brand logo. The bottom pants would differ and the shoes will not really matter.  For my commercial, I will be doing a Coca-Cola commercial. In order to be spot on with these commercials, I have to find patterns that show up in the commercials. I have watched many different Coca-Cola commercials and they all have a message. The messages are usually to spread love, happiness, and community strength. It gave me a general understanding of how to structure my commercial, what to say and show. In these commercials, the audience would see people such as family, friends, and strangers in different places doing different activities. At times, there are celebrities in these commercials.  The people wear regular clothes that are usually red to represent the color of the can or bottle. The props they use are the Coca-Cola bottles or cans, etc.    The appearances are usually smiles or sad faces that eventually turn into smiles.   There is usually music in the background or people singing to songs; it creates a nice, warm feel to the audience. Conve...
