Filming Blog

For my commercial, I will be filming at two different locations. I will start filming on the 1st since its on the weekend. As the director, I will be in charge of the outfits and props. The first location would be the park. The actors and I would already be dressed in our outfits which would be red shirts and jeans. If any time of bad weather occurrence happens, I would simply just move to the house for filming. It will be filmed on my iPhone 8 Plus. The phone is most likely going to look better than a camera. I will be able to direct where the actors are going and the angles I use. The props which are mainly the Coca-Cola will always be able to be scene when it is needed. Filming in the park would most likely take multiple shots to get it just right. This would be the same in the house because you never know what could get in your shots. I think different and multiple shots are needed so I can see what fits right and what is better. I think it would take about 2-3 hours for filming because there is a lot to cover. I would have to find the perfect place in the park to make everything would line up perfectly to make sure no messy areas are in the background. It might take more than one day if al shots are not filmed properly especially the angles. As the director, I will need to remember the types of shots and angles when filming so I do not have to keep redoing it. I do not want to have issues with the phone camera or anything. The worst thing is I do not want a messy, unorganized commercial. I will make sure everything is set to go before I start filming.

     My group and I have not decided when to edit our video yet. Looking back on the filming day it was very fun. I am both sad and relieved about the filming. I feel this way because it was really fun to work with my group but I am relieved we got it done. I had a great time filming especially because we are all friends. We were all in contact and started to plan everything immediately. I feel like filming is better than editing for us because we can't meet up this time to edit. Genre Research: Action & Thriller

The action and thriller genres have many similarities and differences, especially when it relates to CLAMPS. Action Films Action films tend to use different aspects of lighting such as, three-point, low key, natural, and high key lighting. Like thriller films, action movies contain excessive use of make-up and costumes to make the movie seem and realistic as possible. Not to mention, directors use make-up and costumes to separate normal and abnormal characters within the film. In action movies low-key, high-key, natural, and three-point lighting are commonly used during film. During the editing process, editors of action films are more likely to use graphic and action matches, slow motion effects, and plenty visual effects. Especially in movies like Spiderman, Avengers, and Iron Man. As for camera angles action movies are usually seen with using aerial shots, high angles, low angles, and canted (Dutch) angles. Planning Blog: Scripts

  Writing the scripts was easy for our group.  Our group already had ideas in mind for what we wanted in our film and it all came down to write these ideas in a script.  To create the script our group has used PowerPoint.  Using PowerPoint has made our  scripts  easier  to  read for the group and for the actors.  We successfully made t he  shooting script  go hand in hand  with the sound and dialogue script . The scripts are always very descriptive when it comes to sound, lighting, camera shots, and camera movements.  Not to mention, that there is enough dialogue to keep the movie scenes mysterious and  intimidating.  All that’s left is to film and edit using the scripts and storyboard as our guide.   One of the group members  Anayah  oversaw writing the two scripts, however, everyone pitched in to throw in their own ideas.
