Planning Blog: Location, health, schedule, and more

 It’s going to take a lot to complete this final task. This will be our last time coming together as a group. We will be shooting the whole week of Spring Break in order to make sure we get everything done. We will have 5 days expanding from filming and editing. We will take 2 days to film, 3 days to edit, and 1 day to review our final project. The theme of our film is a thriller. We will be using Hampton Pines Park that has a trail and many trees along with it that give off a wood's vibe. We will be shooting at night while making sure there are proper props and lighting in order to get things done. Our final location will take place at Kadia’s house giving us the last scene we need before editing.  It’ll take us 2 days to finish shooting as the last couple of scenes will need to be done in the daytime. We will all be participating in the creation of this film. To actors, story writers, editors, and filming everyone will have a part. We will have specific costumes and props to get. We’ll take turns bringing ideas to the table about editing. We might take turns editing different scenes then choosing which one we like the best. We will need fake blood, fake knives, dark clothing, etc. As we are going through a pandemic because of Covid-19 we will be taking all precautions. In order to stay safe, we will always keep our masks on and a distance from anyone who comes near. Currently, we want to make sure that everyone goes home healthy. Being that this is the last project we want to give our all.

Filming Blog for Music Video

     My group and I have not decided when to edit our video yet. Looking back on the filming day it was very fun. I am both sad and relieved about the filming. I feel this way because it was really fun to work with my group but I am relieved we got it done. I had a great time filming especially because we are all friends. We were all in contact and started to plan everything immediately. I feel like filming is better than editing for us because we can't meet up this time to edit. It was a little hectic because the storyboard was not really matching up with our scenes. In the end, we found a way to make it work because we were not going to leave until it did. Genre Research: Action & Thriller

The action and thriller genres have many similarities and differences, especially when it relates to CLAMPS. Action Films Action films tend to use different aspects of lighting such as, three-point, low key, natural, and high key lighting. Like thriller films, action movies contain excessive use of make-up and costumes to make the movie seem and realistic as possible. Not to mention, directors use make-up and costumes to separate normal and abnormal characters within the film. In action movies low-key, high-key, natural, and three-point lighting are commonly used during film. During the editing process, editors of action films are more likely to use graphic and action matches, slow motion effects, and plenty visual effects. Especially in movies like Spiderman, Avengers, and Iron Man. As for camera angles action movies are usually seen with using aerial shots, high angles, low angles, and canted (Dutch) angles. Planning Blog: Scripts

  Writing the scripts was easy for our group.  Our group already had ideas in mind for what we wanted in our film and it all came down to write these ideas in a script.  To create the script our group has used PowerPoint.  Using PowerPoint has made our  scripts  easier  to  read for the group and for the actors.  We successfully made t he  shooting script  go hand in hand  with the sound and dialogue script . The scripts are always very descriptive when it comes to sound, lighting, camera shots, and camera movements.  Not to mention, that there is enough dialogue to keep the movie scenes mysterious and  intimidating.  All that’s left is to film and edit using the scripts and storyboard as our guide.   One of the group members  Anayah  oversaw writing the two scripts, however, everyone pitched in to throw in their own ideas.
