Our Pitch

To start off we have chosen a horror/thriller genre for our movie. We picked thriller and horror for our genre of the movie simply because they are more interesting and exciting to create. The first pitch for the film states “two females organize a kidnapping against a young female”. The second pitch is “A team of two females organize together to kill the girl they suspect of a murder”. Both pitches are taken into consideration with the time we have to film. The first pitch will keep the audience intrigued about what will happen for two minutes. The first pitch was suggested by Anayah Saintil as she is a horror fanatic who has a clear understanding of those types of films. The second pitch suggested by Kadia Khan, was chosen because it fit our theme and ideal plot of the film. Prior to choosing and creating pitches we had an idea of what the plot should look like and what our theme should be. Thus, the reason why pitch one and two were chosen out of all the rest. They contained similar character goals and details, but their storyline was slightly different. Both pitches also have a suspenseful beginning to a film. In the end the reason why we chose pitch number one as our final answer, was because this story is easier to make. We even have an opening scene in mind that fits perfectly with the pitch. Therefore, making it the obvious choice in our minds. We were stuck between a variety of other pitches and genres. Our other group mate Keemori Hall isn’t a fan of horror/thriller films, but we were able to compromise in order to go along with everyone's ideas. Even though both pitches sound the same there will be a difference in the way we portray it. The setup of each storyboard would be different from the next. Moving on, the decision is clear that “A team of two femlaes organize a kidnapping against a young female” will be our final pitch for our film.
