Starting the Final Task

Hello my name is Kadia Khan and I am 16 years old. I am in the 11th grade. I am taking this class to learn about the types of things that happen in the media. I want to attend a college in New York or another state. I also want to pursue my career in New York. I fell in love with the city ever since I’ve visited my brother there. I am obsessed with having good grades but at times it can be too much but I find a way to deal with it in the end. School can be a stressful thing to deal with at times especially when you have other things to worry about. I always find a way to stay organized through the stress. I am always reminding myself that I am doing all this for my family and that is what keeps me motivated. I am working on this project with Keemori H. and Anayah S. I choose this group because we have worked on a project before and it turned out very well. We worked on our music video project very easily and we did not have any problems. Our project got done in one day for filming and another one for editing. With this group, everything gets done when it needs to be. They are very determined in their work so I couldn’t have worked with a better group. They taught me different things while we were doing the project. It made it easier with editing the video. I am pretty sure that they will cooperate more in this project too. I am looking forward to work on this project with my group.

Editing Blog

 My editing will occur after all the scenes are shot. I would have to make sure all the scenes are at the proper duration and the timing was right. I will have to import and export videos from my phone to and from the computer. The editing will most likely be done on these two different devices. The editing would involved fixing the lighting, cropping, and adjusting the time. If lighting is too dark, I would use a lighter contrast and highlights to make it look better. The cropping part is to make sure that the background is a fit and no one is in the background. The time would be the biggest issue of editing because everything has to fit within 30 seconds. I have to make sure I get the perfect scene so everything fits right. I would rather crop out extra time so I can have 5 seconds for each scene. An issue I would probably run into would be handheld movement of the phone. This could cause the filming to be shaky but hopefully it would not be too noticeable. I would hope...

    Hello my name is Kadia Khan and I am 15 years old. I am in the 11th grade and about to turn 16 on October 7th. I am taking this class to learn about the types of things that happen in the media. I was born in Jamaica and I came to the U.S. in 2011. I have a love for track ever since l was young in primary school. I recently joined track at Fort Lauderdale High in 10th grade and I love it. It was hard at first because I have anxiety and it definitely acts up when I’m around a huge group of people or having to do something at school. Overall, I love running, it’s a passion of mine. Growing up in Jamaica was way different from growing up in the U.S. I had to adjust to moving to a new country and changing my accent because I would speak patwa. The accent was hard to lose at first but now it is completely gone and I do miss it. I am looking forward to going to college for nursing and earning my degrees.
