Filming Blog for Music Video

    My group and I got together to film our video on November 23. We got together and we filmed and we sort of had to improvise scenes. This was because one actor in the group could not make it for the filming. We reviewed the clips and there was no trouble. We were happy with the way it turned out. We filmed from in the afternoon at the restaurant to the sunset at the beach. This was in total about 5 hours that we spent filming our takes. We didn't really have any props so there was not any extra stuff going on. We filmed scenes one to four at the restaurant which was where we started. After that, we filmed scenes five to twelve on different spots of the beach. We were dressed in basically regular t-shirts and jean shorts. It didn't rain that day so we were lucky to get our shots. We filmed on Anayah's phone and my phone. It was a lot to cover but we made it in the end and the work paid off. The thing is we had to hurry at the end because our phones were going to die and we forgot our portable chargers. The ending scenes still ending up being good which was the part we had to worry about since the other parts were already done. We made sure to film extra scenes so that if we didn't like a scene we could input another one. This will really help us if our scenes go messed up. Our hard work is going to pay off when we are in the editing process. I am just happy that we got our filming done with.

     My group and I have not decided when to edit our video yet. Looking back on the filming day it was very fun. I am both sad and relieved about the filming. I feel this way because it was really fun to work with my group but I am relieved we got it done. I had a great time filming especially because we are all friends. We were all in contact and started to plan everything immediately. I feel like filming is better than editing for us because we can't meet up this time to edit. It was a little hectic because the storyboard was not really matching up with our scenes. In the end, we found a way to make it work because we were not going to leave until it did. Genre Research: Action & Thriller

The action and thriller genres have many similarities and differences, especially when it relates to CLAMPS. Action Films Action films tend to use different aspects of lighting such as, three-point, low key, natural, and high key lighting. Like thriller films, action movies contain excessive use of make-up and costumes to make the movie seem and realistic as possible. Not to mention, directors use make-up and costumes to separate normal and abnormal characters within the film. In action movies low-key, high-key, natural, and three-point lighting are commonly used during film. During the editing process, editors of action films are more likely to use graphic and action matches, slow motion effects, and plenty visual effects. Especially in movies like Spiderman, Avengers, and Iron Man. As for camera angles action movies are usually seen with using aerial shots, high angles, low angles, and canted (Dutch) angles. Planning Blog: Scripts

  Writing the scripts was easy for our group.  Our group already had ideas in mind for what we wanted in our film and it all came down to write these ideas in a script.  To create the script our group has used PowerPoint.  Using PowerPoint has made our  scripts  easier  to  read for the group and for the actors.  We successfully made t he  shooting script  go hand in hand  with the sound and dialogue script . The scripts are always very descriptive when it comes to sound, lighting, camera shots, and camera movements.  Not to mention, that there is enough dialogue to keep the movie scenes mysterious and  intimidating.  All that’s left is to film and edit using the scripts and storyboard as our guide.   One of the group members  Anayah  oversaw writing the two scripts, however, everyone pitched in to throw in their own ideas.
